When my wife and I were looking to renovate our new home, we searched across Singapore for an interior designer who could help transform our resale flat from a bachelor pad into a place we could truly call our own. We met with a handful of IDs and made enquiries with many more. By the time we met Germaine from Senso, we were already exhausted by the process and had come to believe that no matter how carefully we explained our vision (with photos, references, and all), most IDs would only understand about 60–80% of what we had in mind.
We went into our first meeting expecting a long conversation, followed by a mood board or render that would somehow miss the mark completely. Instead, Germaine understood exactly what we were looking for almost immediately.
What made us choose Germaine was her ability to see the potential of our home and improve on our ideas without ever disregarding them. From the start, she was consistently responsive, proactive, and attentive. Would like to extend our sincere thanks to Kai our ID from Senso Studios, who has been a huge help in our home renovation journey. We had some critical timelines to meet which made the project all the more challenging. However, Kai was able to manage the various stakeholders within the short timeframes with much composure. Kai has a good eye for design as well, taking the time to understand what we value and look for when it comes to the aesthetics - we love how the various elements in our house fits our style, and special mention to the "decorative" shelving Kai designed, where we were initially quite skeptical but decided to try it out and it turned out to be beautiful! In all seriousness, we are really happy with the overall experience of working with Gervin as our ID.
He has been reliable, responsive, and genuinely passionate about his work throughout the project. One thing that really stood out was the carpentry detailing — the workmanship and attention to detail were excellent.
Whenever we had concerns or questions, Gervin was always easy to reach and would actively work towards finding a solution instead of brushing things off. He also followed up closely with the contractors and made sure the work was done properly, which gave us a lot of peace of mind during the renovation process!

We engaged Alexis from Senso Studio for our reno and we're really glad we did! As first-time homeowners we didn't quite know what to expect, but she made the whole process a lot less daunting than we'd imagined.
We were going for an adapted Mid-Century Modern look and Alexis understood the assignment right from the start. Ours is a new-launch condo, so there's only so much you can change with what's already pre-loaded into the unit, and the tricky part was bringing in enough MCM character without ripping everything out. Alexis struck a really good balance here, working with what the unit already gave us rather than against it, while still letting us put our own stamp on the space. A few of her suggestions on where to meet in the middle turned out to be exactly right.
Communication and coordination were a big plus. We'd heard plenty of stressful reno stories from friends, so we were bracing ourselves, but Alexis was prompt and clear throughout and that gave us a lot of peace of mind. We had loads of questions as first-timers and she was always around to walk us through the options. The works ran on a clear schedule and sequence, pretty much like clockwork. The occasional delay is just part and parcel of any reno, but on the rare occasions things came up, they were handled well.
As with any project there were a couple of minor things to iron out along the way, but whenever we flagged something, Alexis got it sorted quickly and without fuss. That responsiveness honestly mattered more to us than expecting everything to be perfect from day one.
Overall a really pleasant experience working with Alexis and the Senso team, and we'd happily recommend them to anyone planning their reno!
